Sara Pritchard
Director in Lichfield, UK
I’m a hardworking, passionate individual and I have lived with my husband for over 10yrs in Lichfield. Between us we have 6 children and 1 grandchild.
I want to become a councillor to help make a difference on local issues that concern you and your everyday life.
I have strong political and social values, believing people should be architects of their own destiny (other than some elderly and vulnerable) and aspirations - working to create an environment in order for our communities to flourish
For the past 10yrs I have ran my own consultancy business, recently I set up my own care agency in Lichfield after witnessing first-hand the level of social care my late father received. We have an ageing population in Lichfield and it’s a particular area of interest that I will endeavour to champion.
As a businesswoman I'm fully aware of the local business community; many friends own retail establishments within the city and the surrounding district. We need Lichfield to flourish and small businesses are the backbone of our area, we need to support their economic growth and I will lobby hard on their behalf to create that environment.
I’ve been a parent governor at the Friary School for two years along with being a board member for Staffordshire Young Enterprise.
I have humble beginnings, I’ve been a single parent struggling on benefits and trying to make ends meet and I’m also aware of the difficulties our younger members of society face, finding work, lack of amenities within Lichfield, and affordable housing. I’m also very aware that my elders struggle with managing finances and sourcing good quality care.
I am new, I won’t pretend I know all the workings of the council but I do know that I want positive changes for the people of Lichfield. I will ensure that I engage with all of our communities and I will do my absolute utmost to gain a real overview of the real concerns people have and if elected ensure I work to make those changes for the better.
With my broad experience of business, family life and my positive attitude I really hope you see me as your voice within the council. I live in Lichfield, I run my business in Lichfield, the last thing I would want to do is promise you the changes and then not deliver!
