From the halls of FIT to the trenches of Italy's most iconic fashion houses - most notably under the tutelage of Valentino's Yvan Mispelaere (Now Creative Director at DVF), Designer Sara Roka breathes luxurious minimalism into a trend-obsessed fashion scene. The Vancouver native has spent nearly half her life in Europe and New York City, studying, designing and now, creating her own collection of bespoke-like Italian women's shirts.

Inspired by the 'borrowed men's shirt', Roka creates spectacularly effortless shirt designs that straddle sexy and smart without compromise. Roka's command of luxurious Italian milled cotton fabrics like poplin and oxford along with her exceptional craftsmanship inspires a collection around a basic style she has always cherished, a men´s classic button-down shirt.

"I have always loved the shirt as it has many faces. It can be dressed down or dressed up, worn with anything, worn everywhere; beach, dinner, dancing, formal, work, or relax", Roka explains. "When faced with having to make a quick decision for what to wear, the shirt is the easiest way to be sophisticated and casual at the same time. The shirt is great for every occasion, and the perfect canvas for accessories and one woman's personality to show through".
