Sara Jean Olsen

Hello!

I'm Sara Olsen, I'm from a small town on Vancouver Island. I am currently studying to obtain a double major in business at Vancouver Island University. My majors are Marketing and Human Resources. With this I hope to get into advertising as I love being creative. I'm currently in my fourth year where I've found a niche-sketching and designing advertisements. I'm also getting fond of creating logos. For the Human Resources perspective, I'm finding reading up on legislations very useful and it all makes sense as I've been working for most of my young life. I also enjoy the psychology of the topic, organizational behaviour was a very interesting class.

I'm also interested in possibly going into Law School, but this is undetermined. I might look into business law or even criminal. Though business would be the more reasonable one to go into as I would already hold a business degree.

I also volunteer with St John Ambulance Youth Brigade. With the St John Ambulance, I hold my AMFR first aid certificate and I teach young children basic first aid. I'm hoping to obtain my OFA 3 certification in the summer of 2016. First aid is a big part of my life, I love being involved with the community and working with the kids. I try to get them involved in many events around the community. For instance, every year we fundraise for the MS society and partake in the MS walk in May.

I like to think I hold a lot of determination and dedication, and I like to keep an open mind and a positive outlook.
