Sara Semelka

After 8 years in central Missouri, I've moved back home to Illinois and settled in Oak Park. I'm a recovering journalist looking to work in public policy and community/urban improvement in Chicago.

I am passionate about women's health, public and social policy, social justice and making a difference in my community. I love working with teams and small groups, and I enjoy volunteering.

You can find me: crafting at my dining room table, reading at a coffee shop, biking around the neighborhood, cooking in my kitchen, petting my cat or watching documentaries at the theater.
