UNCO Marketing Student~Advertising and Promotions~Dancer~Animal lover
I am currently a Junior Marketing Major in the Monfort College of Business at University of Northern Colorado. I hope to use my degree to get into the advertising and promotions field and would like to ultimately work with a company that is involved with either of my passions; dance and animals. Right now school is my top priority as I hope to graduate in May of 2017 with my Bachelor's then hopefully continue my education towards my Master's Degree.
This is my first year up here in Colorado and I've lived in Arizona the past 7 years having been born and raised in Southern California. Since this is my first real winter the cold and snow has been quite an adjustment, but so far I feel that I'm handling it fairly well!
Even though school keeps me on my toes I still find time to enjoy everything else I love to do! I was a competitive dancer for many years as well as being a dance instructor for a couple years and try to stay involved by taking classes and looking for performance opportunities when I can. I haven't had as much dancing opportunities up here in Colorado as I would have liked, but if I can't find a class to take I simply follow a favorite quote of mine "Dance. Even if you have no where to do it but your living room."
Another passion of mine is animals especially dogs. Ever since I was a little girl I've had a soft spot for all furry creatures and that love has continued as I've grown. Even though I had to leave my dog at home I was fortunate that I was able to bring my 13 year old kitty, Snip, to college with me and I love spending time with him. I got into dog training when I was 13 years old and saw my first Dog Agility competition on TV and decided that I was going to teach my dog at the time to do that. I attended my first class and fell in love with the sport and have been doing it competitively ever since. Even though my old girl is now retired I've been able to stay involved by training and competing with other people's dogs. Now that I'm in college I haven't been able to run and train as much as I like, but I have been able to attend a few competitions a year.
That's me in a nutshell! I love dancing, animals, and spending time with my friends and family!
