Sara Wyke

Sara Wyke is a HR professional, CTI coach-in-training and social media enthusiast with a wide ranging experience most recently as HR Business Partner in an energy trading firm.

She has recently completed a mandate at CERN - European Center for Particle Physics, where she honed her high-volume recruitment skills hiring profiles from Accelerator Physicists to Librarians. She was also key in a change of recruitment strategy based on the EVP which engaged social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.

Previously she was in a stand-alone HR generalist role in a mid-sized NGO where she was supporting the executive leaders with a strategic change management programme.

Sara has been an active member of the UK based ConnectingHR network and attended her first unconference in 2010. Since then she has been invited to speak and facilitate sessions on recruitment with a special focus on social media. She is passionate about embracing new approaches to old problems, especially when it involves some new gadget or app, but she is always aware not to lose sight of the unique people at the core.

Originally from the UK, she has been based in Geneva for over 6 years and finally feels comfortable working in French or English, partly thanks to her Belgian husband! She now lives across the border with her adorable little girls who make sure she's kept busy when she is not working. As you can imagine, there's not much time left over but when she can, she loves to head up the mountains for a hike or to snowboard.
