Sara Julia Arce

I was born and raised in the Bronx. I am eighteen years of age and I am currently majoring in criminal justice but I will be switching over to psychology. I have been playing sports since I could walk, baseball, track, hockey, soccer, softball, and with my friends, football. I fell in love with cars a few years ago. I love to work on them and drive them as well. I have been playing the violin since I was eight. My dad taught me how to draw. I read like a maniac and I have written many short story mystery books that I keep to myself. I have been dancing since I was eight also.

My birthday is May 19th. That means I am a taurus and that word all in itself signifies my personality. As a taurus I have a sensible outlook on life but I also have a very big problem of accepting less than I can achieve. I am very determined, clever, and reliable. People constantly seek me for comfort because I listen. I am persistant and I go for what I want regardless of what someone may tell me. But of all those positive traits I do have negative traits in my personality. I am stubborn and very impatient. I also have quite a temper, but that does work to my benefit when I need to be aggressive and assert myself.

Growing up in the Bronx I was taught to be street smart. That was what you needed to survive in a world like this. I learned that people will not always be there for you nor help you. I work for the things I need and want, and when I want something I'll get it, but through hard work and determination.

My motto is, "let the past make you better, not bitter". I have had a lot of things happen to me or others I care about in my life. I deal with it and move on. I believe that those that have suffered would want to see you suceed and those that have made my life hard just want to see me fail so I will not give them the satisfaction of failure.
