Sarit Hovav, MD

Sarit Hovav, MD, has experience in investigating transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in the context of various psychiatric disorders.
Dr. Hovav completed her studies in Medicine at Ross University School of Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine with Honors in 2006. She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the prestigious Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. She served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience at the David Geffen School of Medicine focusing on Brain Stimulation and Neuroimaging. She was then the Director of Neuromodulation and Pharmacogenomics at a large outpatient behavioral healthcare clinic. Currently, she is a third year Physician Resident at Creighton University/University of Nebraska Medical Center in the Department of Psychiatry. She also serves on the Assembly of the American Psychiatric Association as the RFM Deputy Representative, and has been the editor for the Nebraska Psychiatric Society newsletter "Flight of Ideas".
Dr. Sarit Hovav's research has recently appeared in several peer-reviewed journals including "Journal of Psychiatric Research", "Brain Stimulation", "Neuropsychopharmacology", and "Psychosomatics". More of her manuscripts are currently in progress. She has also presented at national conferences, and is still actively involved in clinical research. She served in 2014 as the chair of the Device Symposium for the Clinical TMS Society.
