Sascha Giegold

Born 1976 and raised in the multi-cultural and industrial "Ruhrgebiet", Germany, I always faced different people from different countries with different thoughts. This formed my open mind already in my teenage years. After school and two years studying Meteorology, I decided to take my strong analytical mind and mix it with my love for investigating the unknown and finally ended with my Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. My first job was working for a new biotech-company as scientist in pharmacology and labhead of bioanalysis. After three years I changed the labcoat to an office outfit and went to LGC Standards as Technical Product Manager for the Pharmaceutical sector. In this role, I train people how to use reference standards for their daily analytical work, for regulatory issues and for validation of analytical measurements. In addition, I support marketing and sales for all pharmaceutical relevant concerns. Beside work, I love to make and listen to music, play golf and hunt for geocaches. Also, I am a great fan of good food, wine and whisky and I love to relax in a nice bar, coffee house or beergarden.
