Saskia Richter

education in Delaware

Hi! I'm Dr. Saskia Richter and I'm an Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware as well as the interim Director for the Center for Health Profession Studies. I'm passionate about working with students and teaching them the importance of anatomy and physiology in the future health careers! As a certified athletic trainer I love bringing clinical (real world!) anatomy to life in the classroom.

I started my career at the University of Delaware in the Fall of 2019. Despite the challenges of 2020 (and honestly 2021 and 2022!), it allowed me to build my foundation on innovation and creativity to support students during that difficult time.

In Fall of 2022 I became the Director of the Medical Scholars Program housed within the College of Arts and Sciences and supported by CHPS. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to revamp this program and help our students achieve their goals of attending medical school. I'm truly honored to have the privilege to serve as a support during their journey to healthcare.

My personal interests include hiking, traveling the world with my husband, reading (murder mysteries are my go-to!), and catching a sports game.
