Satish Chawathe
Satish Jaywant Chawathe is the 'Upa Vibhag Pramukh' of (MCGM- Ward No. 30) Malad-Mumbai for Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), which is a leading regional political party in the state of Maharashtra in India.
Born on September 16, 1967, Satish perused his education in the northern Mumbai suburb of Malad, close to his residence in Malwani BMC Colony (Sane Guruji Vasahat). Satish has substantial 20 years experience of representing the people and have started his public life as the Youth leader in Malwani BMC Colony and have also served as President of "Malwanicha Raja (Block 4 & 5) Ganeshotsav Mandal". He has been actively involved in social service thorough various public and cultural initiatives, as well as helping people on a personal level, whether it is by supporting patients for accessing primary health care services, running health and hygiene campaign in the community, advocating with duty bearers for the rights and basic amenities and helping needy students with school stationary and getting admissions in schools and colleges without donations.
Satish explored his initial political career with Shiv Sena party and currently associated with Maharashtra Navnirman Sena since (2006) its inception. A strong believer of the ideology set by the party president Shri. Raj Thackeray, Satish is instrumental in ensuring the provision of basic services to the residents of his ward and being the benefactor of the local Maharashtrian population (Marathi Manoos) residing in Malad. On qualifying the written examination conducted by MNS, Satish has now given the opportunity to represent MNS and contest "2012 General Elections of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai" from ward No. 30 (Malwani Colony, Valnai village and Kharodi Village). Known in every household for his work, having representation of the members of each and every caste, community and religion and considering his socio-political background and previous track records, "the local hero" seems to have all that what it takes to work for the development of people in his ward.
