Satta Jallah

Satta Jallah is an accomplished renaissance woman. Her performance repertoire ranges from music, dance, spoken word poetry, and acting. She has combined her love for the arts and her compassion for her community through arts education.

Satta has created performance art curriculum and workshops for schools, universities and wellness retreat centers like Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Satta is a current member of SOAR (Sister Overcoming Abusive Relationships) a task force of the Rhode Island Coalition against Domestic Violence where she does speaking engagements & presentations at various high schools & colleges. Satta also featured as a spokesperson for the 2010 domestic violence awareness campaign sponsored by the RICADV.

Ms. Jallah has also become extremely committed to health and wellness. After practicing yoga for several years, Satta went on to receive her yoga teacher certification through the Santosha School for Yoga.

Satta has now combines her Afro-Caribbean dance expertise along with her group facilitation experience and created Holistic Roots Movement to offer various wellness classes, workshops, & seminars.For bookings inquiries please email [email protected].
