SaulS. Komisar, MBA, the managing director of Transworld Business Advisors, leadscompanies across industry sectors through strategic mergers and acquisitions, buildingon a career during which he has invested and brokered well over $1 billion in complextransactions over the last two decades. Throughout his career, Saul’s specific experience includes businessintermediary services, capital formation, operational management, corporatefinance, and business development.

Saul joined Transworld Business Advisors in 2011 with atrack record of success in creating, building, acquiring, and sellingbusinesses of all sizes and is the founder of Transworld Business Advisors ofUtah in Salt Lake City. Transworld BusinessAdvisors is the world leader in the marketing and sales of businesses,franchises and commercial real estate and offers professional services thatsuccessfully bring buyers and sellers together.

Prior to joining Transworld Business Advisors, Saul servedas president of Protherics Plc, a London-based biotechnology company. During fifteen years with the company, he ledthe initiative to publically list Protherics on NASDAQ. After Protherics Plc was successfully sold in2008 to BTG Plc for $450 million, Mr. Komisar was one of five foundingorganizers of Franklin Synergy Bank, a Federally Chartered Bank inTennessee. In 2015, Franklin SynergyBank was listed on the NYSE at an opening value of approximately $72 million. Asmatter of public record, Saul has been reviewed by the Federal Reserve Bank,Federal Trade Commission, London Stock Exchange and the Securities and ExchangeCommission.

Saul started his career with SunTrust Banks in theHealthcare Finance Group, primarily financing acquisitions of hospitals andlarger medical practices, gaining an expertise in valuation, debt finance,mergers and acquisitions. After a four year career with SunTrust, hestarted his first business in medical waste management, which was successfully soldfour years later.

A contributor and commentator for business publicationsincluding Harvard Business Review, Saulhas participated in executive education at Stanford University, The Universityof Chicago and Cambridge University. Hereceived his Bachelor of Applied Science from Birmingham Southern College andhis Masters of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.

A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Saul spendshis free time skiing, watching and coaching his two teenage children in varioussports and serving on the leadership committees and/or Board of Directors ofseveral for profit and charitable institutions, including Oak Hill Academy,Franklin Road Academy Young Leaders Council, The AIDS Project, WilliamsonCounty Economic Development Committee and Friends of Radnor Lake.
