Saul Marcadent is a researcher at Iuav University of Venice and curator. His research activity focuses on the relations between publishing, fashion and visual culture, and on the interaction between the approach to publishing and a theoretical and critical perspective. He curates exhibitions and edits publications that he sees as actions of research in their own right. He has lectured in institutions such as HEAD Genève, The New School Parsons Paris, Università Libera di Bolzano and Academy of Fine Arts Wien. Recently he has been visiting curator at Istituto Svizzero in Rome and he has conceived the series of conversations entitled “Publishing Traffic” for Gucci Garden in Florence. He is currently editor of “Dune. Writings on Fashion, Design and Visual Culture”, a biannual academic journal published by Flash Art. He is the author of the book "Publishing as Curating: Design and imagery in contemporary fashion magazines" (Marsilio, 2020), brought out in English and Italian editions.
