Peacebuilder and Social Entrepreneur in New Delhi, India
Hey, I am Saumya, a Peace builder and artist aiming to collaborate shades of multiculturalism with peace justice through viable implication of art in fostering intercultural learning, and to structure a society compatible with community harmony and sustainability. With a vision to build capacities in youth and introduce them to community development, I co-founded an organisation named 'Youth for Peace International' to advocate my interest of platforming peace through inter-cultural dialogue modules.
Art has kept me inspired since thirteen years in a row, and stimulated my instinct to rely on art therapies for subsuming conflicts subjective to internal and external influence. This has loomed largely affirmative in relegating to attainment of peace. This insight surfaced to structure a vision in me, and to further implicate on larger issues like addressing rehabilitation of Refugees and violence against women, through motivation of play, dance and art therapies.
Furthermore, I have also been nominated as the SDG innovator for TED Ed Innovative Educator Project 2017. I have also been selected as a motivational speaker for TEDX talk, and have been engaging actively as a trainer and mentor in conflict-prone areas.
On a personal scale, live painting and dance are two equally curated interests to me.
