Saurav Verma

I am doing Masters at the National University of Singapore who is actively seeking out new ways to expand his horizon.

A Computer Science student, I have about 4.5 years of IT experience. Started with EMC then moved onto joining a startup.

Working in start-up, I donned many hats ranging from Web developer on Oracle Application Express using Javascript, JQuery, Ruby on Rails, Database designer, DBA in Oracle 11g, Sysadmin on RHEL working with bash, Perl, Python scripts, Cloud admin for AWS, S3, RDS and many Open Source technologies.

I have discovered my new found love in Python and actively working on multiple projects of my own. It includes but is not limited to :

• Face detection/recognition using Python-OpenCV in Django
• Microblogging in Python implementing Flask framework.
• Smart Classroom using RaspberryPi connected to mobile(Android) client and Django webserver.
• Web based tool for EMC to visualize and compare multiple test logs using Flask framework.
