Sayde Cummings

I would like to consider the whole state of Texas my home although I was born in Ohio and have lived in Mexico, I mainly lived in San Antonio and moved around there a bit. When I was about ten my sister was born and we moved to Rockwall shorty after. We then moved around the Dallas area and settled in McKinney which is when my brother was born. After living there about five years we moved to Anna and have lived here for almost three years now.

Living in Anna has allowed me to put more of a focus on band. I was able to go to state twice and make All Region, which are pretty good accomplishments in the high school band world. Without those achievements I don't think I would have as much of a passion for band as I do now.

I honestly don't know what I would like to do for the rest of my life. As of this moment my plan is to go to A&M Commerce to get my basics and quite possibly participate in their band program. After that I am thinking about getting my Ph.D in Coastal and Marine System Science at the university of A&M in Galveston. Once I am completed with that I either want to be a researcher or professor. If one of those works out for me I would like to live a fairly long life by the ocean and take long walks along the boulevard at least once a week.
