I am a highly motivated and academically driven Mathematics educator with over ten years of teaching experience across the UK and internationally, currently completing a PGCE with QTS in Secondary Mathematics. I hold a B.Sc. in Mathematics Education and an MSc in Statistics, which provide a strong theoretical and analytical foundation for delivering high-quality teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5, including preparation for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics.

My teaching is characterised by high expectations, intellectual challenge, and a commitment to academic excellence. I am particularly skilled in stretching high-attaining students through problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and exposure to more advanced concepts beyond the core curriculum. I incorporate rich tasks, investigative approaches, and exam-style questioning to deepen understanding and promote independence in learning.

I have strong subject knowledge across Pure Mathematics and Statistics, enabling me to teach confidently up to A-Level. My experience as an examiner for AQA, OCR, Pearson Edexcel, and Cambridge International allows me to provide precise guidance on exam technique, mark schemes, and common misconceptions. I use this insight to help students refine their mathematical communication, accuracy, and problem-solving efficiency, supporting them in achieving top grades.

My classroom practice is structured, purposeful, and engaging. I use modelling, questioning, and deliberate practice to ensure students develop fluency as well as conceptual understanding. I encourage mathematical curiosity and resilience, fostering a culture where students are confident in tackling complex problems and articulating their reasoning.

I maintain excellent classroom management through clear expectations, mutual respect, and consistent routines. I create a focused learning environment where students are challenged and supported to achieve their full academic potential. My experience across a range of educational settings has enabled me to adapt quickly and maintain high standards in diverse classrooms.

I have a secure understanding of the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks, and I am committed to delivering lessons that are both rigorous and aligned with examination success. I also integrate elements of enrichment, including links to real-world applications and advanced mathematical thinking, to inspire students and broaden their perspectives.

Safeguarding and student wellbeing remain central to my practice. I am fully trained in current safeguarding requirements, including KCSIE and Prevent, and I am committed to supporting students’ academic and personal development within a safe and inclusive environment.

Beyond the classroom, I am keen to contribute to enrichment opportunities such as Mathematics clubs, competitions, and STEM initiatives. My background in coding and robotics allows me to support activities that extend students’ learning and encourage participation in wider academic challenges.

I am also an active educational content creator, producing high-quality Mathematics resources for platforms such as TES and YouTube. This reflects my commitment to continuous professional development and my desire to contribute to the wider educational community.

As I complete my PGCE and move towards QTS, I am eager to contribute to a high-performing school where academic excellence is a priority. I bring strong subject expertise, a passion for Mathematics, and a commitment to supporting students in achieving outstanding outcomes.
