I was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. I am a single mother of 3 children (2 girls and 1 boy). In 2001, I graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in the top 25 percentile of my class. After many setbacks and trials, in May 2010 I graduated from Northwestern State University with an Associate of Science in Nursing.
