Hello ! Welcome to a page all about my life ! I'm a happily married women to the man of my dreams and together we share one beautiful baby boy :)

We met in the fall of late 2011 and became best friends. He is the most creative & amazing guy I've ever met with a never-ending talent to make me laugh. Being best friends soon changed to having deeper feelings for each other and then we started dating.

Mid 2012 , he received orders that he would be deploying to Afghanistan. Boy did that break my heart, we already couldn't stand being away from each other but held full time jobs ( mine was working full time as an EMT doing transports & 911 calls for the counties).

The next several months involved lots of training on his part and lots of anxiety on mine.

One of the things I was concerned about and shared with my love was children. I was told that I'd never have children because of my PCOS ( Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome ) but we wanted to attempt pregnancy before my love deployed although we KNEW it was a slim to none chance that would happen. Our family understood the circumstance and why we decided to try.

January 10,2013 was the most emotional day of my life, so i thought. I just watched the love of my life walk onto a bus that would lead him to a plane that would then drop him off in Afghanistan for several months ... far...far... far away from me.

On my way home I was exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster and waiting outside in the cold for hours and hours. ( if you are affiliated with the military in any way you completely understand the term " Hurry up and wait " ).

I remember getting home in the evening and realized " I did not have my cycle yet." No surprise there with the PCOS and stress related events going on. I decided to take a test and to my surprise .. POSITIVE.

BUT MY LOVE JUST LEFT! HE is in the air and not even in Afghanistan yet !! I have to tell him! I have to tell someone! My mother didn't answer her phone. My roommate didnt answer HER phone. The test problaby isn't right. I'll run to the ol' Wally World and get a few more. POSITIVE POSITIVE POSITIVE

The next day, the phone call I was waiting on & I told him the news.

I don't think there was much time passed before all of our friends knew, all of our family knew, and ALL of Camp Leatherneck knew :)

So it began; Pregnancy, Motherhood, Moving, & Healthier me
