I have been a resident of Formby since 1972.

I'm a former member of Sefton MBC, Formby Parish Council and Little Altcar Parish Council.

I'm a retired HE lecturer with a career long interest in New Media and Educational Technology but maintain an abiding interest in Social Media as a means of sustaining and building local communities.

In my earlier working life I was employed in Civil Engineering (BR) and Telephone Engineering (GPO).

I write a hyperlocal blog at The Formby Blog, which is also known as Formby Today and Formbyfirst.uk and run a daily companion Twitter account @formbyvillage

These platforms feature links and short and long topical stories about Formby as a place and a community.

I'm also a patient representative on a local CCG steering group advising on matters related to Information Management and Technology.
