According to Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To be great is to be misunderstood." This idea of thinking can be applied to every aspect of my life because I strive for excellence and happiness regardless of what that looks like to others. From the time I was an adolescent growing up in the vivacious streets of Brooklyn, NY, I knew my life called for a strong work ethic and I worked tirelessly to achieve that. I began working at the ripe age of thirteen, and never skipped a beat since. Always working at least two jobs at a time while juggling nearly perfect grades, extensive extracurricular activities, and a social life. I have a range of managerial experience from as early as seventeen years old from various restaurant establishments. Most recently, I served as a Hospitality Manager and Brand Ambassador for Manning Enterprises.
Moving forward, at this point in my life, I want a career as opposed to a job. I am currently a Business Administration major at the illustrious institution of North Carolina Central University. Although I am at the interim part of my studies and still trying to establish the exact direction I want to go, I do know however, that I never want to work for someone else again. I want to create. I want to expand. I want to lead. I want to succeed.
