My love for design began at a young age. It is a story of mobility and how one learns and grows through change. Throughout my childhood we lived in seven homes in four states. This constant change made me aware of my surroundings and helped me gain an appreciation for the unique aesthetics of each environment.

Currently, I am in two studio classes, concentrating on universal residential design and advanced 3D AutoCAD. I am confident using AutoCAD, as well as Google Sketch-up and Adobe Suites. I am an avid follower of interior design blogs and magazines, and enjoy understanding the latest progressions in the design world.

Last summer, I interned with Nate Berkus Associates, a high-end residential firm in Chicago. During this ten-week internship I assisted two teams, consisting of four designers each, in all aspects of the design process from matching fabrics to final installation. I communicated and worked with different vendors, clients, and manufacturers in a fast paced environment. Interning for such a reputable firm in the city was a privilege and allowed me to grow as a designer, and also as a person.

I intend to continue to take advantage of my next semester in college by gaining as much experience with interior design as possible in order to broaden my creative abilities and develop a unique sense of perspective and style.
