Creativity and innovation are the keys to a hungry intellect. I challenge myself daily in ways that push my creative drive. My relationship with music expression began 16 years ago with the trumpet and quickly pushed me to learn the guitar (14 years ago). I began writing songs alongside the development of my guitar playing and soon dove into writing poetry. To this day, these habits greatly assist my reflection practice.

Apart from interacting with my students, I am particularly fond of the outdoors - everything between camping to backpacking to fishing. Live music invigorates my soul and almost always has a tendency to jump start a music writing binge. I am an unapologetic LA Dodgers/Kings/Lakers fan and am a proud shareholder of the Green Bay Packers.

The loves of my life are my beautiful wife, Michelle and amazing daughter, Evangeline. They inspire me to constantly keep improving as a husband, father, and man of sincere integrity. Our roommates Rorschach (dog), and Carlos (cat) keep us smiling and enjoying life.
