For the past 20 years I've been working both directly and indirectly to help foster positive change in education. I began my career as a high school teacher focused on social studies and English language arts. While working in a small high school, I had the opportunity to teach over 13 different classes (from U.S. History and English 9 and 10 through Web design, art, and even a challenging semester of pre-Calculus).
After a few years in the classroom, I was asked to fill in as the Jr-Sr High School Dean and later became the building principal.
Although I fully expected to spend my career in the school building, in 2002 I switched gears and began work as an education-technology consultant. That change has allowed me to focus in on one of my passions - education technology. Happily, I've had the opportunity to work with educators and organizations all over the work to help define and implement large-scale technology deployments.
In my spare time, I enjoy rowing with Station L Rowing Club as well as getting out on the golf links.
