Sbusile Dumakude

My name is Sbusile Dumakude a 3rd year education student, at one of the most prestigious university (University of Johannesburg). I am measuring in my mother tongue language isiZulu reason being I am a proud African and I believe in upholding the traditions and customs of African heritage. As an aspiring pedagogical practitioner I aim to instill the richness of our African diverse heritage in the classroom, illustrate the values and norms we as Africans have that were deemed as unimportant in the past through incorporating rich proverbs, traditional story telling and cultural practices in my lessons. My aim and passion is to empower every learner in my school and classroom by creating inclusion where diversity is is celebrated and every learner be proud of their identity, culture and values and be confident in themselves and make a positive impact in the world.
I am also a hardworking person and believe in spreading kindness as I believe being a kind person means putting a smile on another person’s face, which is why I chose education as I believe I can spread kindness to the learners as they are the next generation meaning the world will be filled with kindness and love making a positive impact in the society.
