Be Well.
My name is Stephanie and for the past two years I’ve been in a little bit of a life transition. I had a baby, quit a job I loved to nurture, teach and explore with my little one, moved to a new city and have since been reaching out, creating, supporting others and thriving. Teaching, my former profession, has not left my side since day one of me leaving the classroom. Even though I am not working in a traditional teaching setting, I am finding ways to teach others on a daily basis. And mostly I’m teaching people about wellness. I’ve been stopped in the grocery store many times, especially in the produce section, by people (once by a woman struggling with cancer) looking for advice about what they should buy. I still don’t know what makes people stop me, I used to think it was my seriously cute kiddo, but it has even happened when I’ve been by myself (and no I’m not wearing a shirt that says, “Talk to me about your veggies!”). Maybe I look happy when I’m examining leeks? I can’t be sure. When I’m with my family often the conversation will make a turn and here we are talking about grass fed beef and juicing…again. I find that many times the same thing happens when I’m talking to my friends. I know that many people are looking for advice about living well, but maybe don’t have the time to do the research or aren’t sure what sources to trust or maybe don’t even know where to start. That's why I started my blog, http://www.thewellsideoflife.wordpress.com I LOVE researching and reading about any topic that even hints about living a cleaner, fuller, better life. What? Watching Food Matters and reading The China Study on a Saturday night with a bowl full of homemade kale chips doesn’t interest you? No? That’s like a little slice of heaven to me. My passion for teaching and wellness have decided to team up – so here I am. And I’m REALLY glad you’re here, too. Check out my facebook page while you're at it ; )
