I, Samantha Anne Carrillo, am a devotee of zen and the (lost) art of diagramming sentences. Based in the Southwest for two decades, I presently consult part-time with a focus on copy editing (my day job!) and social media marketing.

Deep background: As a thirtysomething, I served as managing editor of two local alternative newspapers, Weekly Alibi and ABQ Free Press. I have nearly 20 years experience working as a professional journalist and editor.

My OCD and an aptitude for IDing patterns aids me in my work. Owing to executive print media experience and know-how, the segue from a more traditional fourth estate career to consulting has largely proved a success. So here goes:
