Sunnyvale is a city located in Santa Clara County, California, United States of America. In the 1770s during the first arrival of the Spanish at the Santa Clara Valley, the Ohlone Native Americans already largely occupied the place. Following this incidence, Mission Santa Clara was founded in 1777 by Padre Junipero Serra who was a Franciscan missionary. In 1842, Francisco Estrada and his wife Inez Castro were granted Rancho Pastoria de Las Borregas.
