Dave Schlafman is a seasoned design leader with over 15 years of experience building and leading teams at the forefront of emerging spaces, including transmedia storytelling, social robotics, interactive video, and games. With a background spanning both product design and content creation, he brings a distinctive perspective to shaping the future of interactive and immersive content experiences.

He began his career in animation, illustration, and design, working with companies such as Penguin, Hasbro Toys, and Scholastic. In 2009, he co-founded the digital studio CloudKid, where he served as Co-Creator and Executive Producer of Fizzy’s Lunch Lab (PBS Kids) and developed original properties and pilots for top children’s media companies, including Nickelodeon, Houghton Mifflin, and Cartoon Network.

In 2017, Dave joined Netflix to lead the Interactive Experiences team, working at the intersection of story, design, and technology on projects like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. Today, he leads the Netflix Games Product Design team, shaping the future of gaming for both game developers and Netflix’s 300 million members worldwide.

A Boston native, he holds a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
