Marissa Schmidt

Originally from West Bloomfield, MI, I am a sophomore at Michigan State University majoring in Creative Advertising. I'm hoping to double major in Studio Art as art is one of my passions and part of my future career goals as a Creative Director.

I often paint in my free time but I'm an avid runner too. I love all sports, especially baseball and I really enjoy working out and being outside. I'm a health nut and in the summer I grow my own garden.

I like to view the unordinary in different light to give myself new perspectives. I also like to keep myself educated so I read a lot of books and do a lot of research on things that interest me like history and ancient artists. I think this an important first step to being innovative. After all, how can you create something new if you don't know what's already been made.
