An ex-pat American, from the Seattle area, New Zealand has been my home since 2001. I'm grateful to be one of the 4 million lucky people who have the privilege of living in this beautiful country.

I share my humble house in West Auckland with a majestically goofy cat, lots of green growing things and the occasional New Zealand weta or skink that happens to wander in.

I write about everyday courage, the joys of nature and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. I write about lessons learned, solitude and the desire to soar. It's all about finding heart. And I say, "Remember the Tinman..."
