From day one, I liked to talk. My mother used to set a kitchen timer and ask a younger version of me to stay quiet simply to test my self-control--what little I had.
Always speaking freely, adamently, and honestly; I found I had a passion for communication. As I grew, I realized I could touch minds and hearts through debate, song, and language. I began to actively protest, question, research, write, sing, and wonder about various subjects.
Using my passion for clear and direct communication, I flexed my public speaking talents at press conferences and lectures regarding environmental and human rights issues in America. Social issues such as feminism and its connection to gender roles in media provoked me to pursue a study of Marketing with a concentration in Advertising and a minor in Psychology. I hope to one day change the way media markets products, especially to women as negative advertising is not socially responsible way to market a product and should not be utilized regardless of profit margin.
