On Tuesday, June 18, 1996, Louis A. Schopfer, Jr. (because of his volunteer work in the community) carried the Olympic Torch from Trenton, New Jersey across the “Trenton Makes” bridge into Morrisville, Pennsylvania.
Lou is a lifetime resident of Cherry Hill and is married to former freelance reporter, office manager, musician, and poet, Janice Anne Clark, formerly of Manlius, New York.
Lou served as an elected Deacon/Treasurer/Official Board of Kingsway (Assembly of God) Church in Cherry Hill where he is active with his family. They have two children, Elizabeth Anne, a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania, and Matthew Clark, a graduate from Rutgers University in New Brunswick.
He enjoys music, swimming, Zumba, biking and his crazy cats: Jake, Jenna and Lincoln.
