Dr. Thomas Schwenke LL.M. (Auckland)

As a lawyer and privacy expert specialised in the areas around the marketing and software developing business (IP Law, copyright, privacy issues, crafing T&Cs and contracts) with profound knowledge in emerging and newly minted types of digital marketing.

Additionally, I spent a lot of time giving workshops, being on stage and showing to the audience how entertaining law can be.

During my doctorate I've researched the impact of smart glasses, augmented reality and biometrics on our privacy rights. You can read my thesis on my website (German).

I'm also the author of best-selling books, blogger and podcaster in "Rechtsbelehrung" (it's all in German).

Before becoming a lawyer I was a manager in the financial administration, was working as a programmer and run a marketing firm (yes, I'm quite curious and all-around but finally being able to bring all my experiences together in my legal profession).

Since I love to travel, I chose to live for a while in New Zealand, where I did my masters degree in IP Law and Privacy Law.

Right now I'm working and living in Berlin.
