I am a mother, a scientist and an adventurer. Everyday is an adventure, little things matter, little pleasures count. Sitting outside in a cafe, having an Americano is joy, gathering around a beach bonfire is heaven. During the day I work in a lab, undertaking doctoral research, in developmental medicine, which takes in biochemistry, physiology, nutrition and microbiology. I have a two year old son who is a joy and teaches me as much as I teach him. I love to cycle, roller skate and have new experiences. I love to draw and paint, and play guitar. I love films, in particular, ones from the 80s. I also like to collect fine art film posters. I love clothes. I have an eclectic taste, one day wearing my favourite leather trousers, the next a girly dress. One constant though, during the day anyway, is my stompy boots! I am rarely without them; they make me feel like I am walking away from an explosion
