Erin Scott

Pennsylvania, United States

My name is Erin. I’m a LOVER of science. Growing up my best friend was named Jeff. He lived behind my house and we created a trail through the woods with the amount of trips we made back and forth. I remember one day playing in his tree house we vowed we would get married and become scientists together. Well…we’re not married, but my love of science has only continued to grow over the years. I majored in Secondary Education and Biology at Villanova University. I went on to receive a Master of Science in Chemistry Education from the University of Pennsylvania. For just shy of 7 years I’ve been teaching high school science in the Central Bucks School District. I completed research in a Materials Science lab at Princeton University for the previous 2 summers. This is my first summer without a job everyday so I’m going to blog everyday this summer — about science, education, technology and anything that may somehow tie into that web and my passion for these topics. Please feel free to comment or message me as I look forward to hopefully interacting with others through this endeavor. What does the next chapter of my career hold? I’m not quite sure – but in some ways I’m hoping that through writing this blog I’m able to reflect on my career and where I might be headed. Cheers!
