Robert Pashman MD

Robert Pashman, MD is an orthopaedic spine surgeon at the Cedars-Sinai Spine Center. He is recognized as an international expert in the treatment of scoliosis, spinal deformities, and complex spinal revision surgery. He is a well recognized national and international lecturer on the treatment of adolescent and adult scoliosis.

As a practicing spinal surgeon, Dr. Pashman has performed approximately 4,000 complex spinal deformity surgeries (scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, kyphosis, flatback) and over 2,000 cervical reconstructions and fusions. Dr. Pashman is focused on patient outcomes, and believes that a patient must be balanced in the coronal and saggittal plane following surgery.

Dr. Pashman is a member of several professional organizations, including the Scoliosis Research Society, North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, California Medical Association, California Orthopedic Association, and the Los Angeles County Medical Association.

Dr. Pashman received his bachelor's degree from University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated cum laude, and earned his medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After medical school, he completed his internship in General Surgery at Kaiser, San Francisco. Dr. Pashman completed his residency in orthopaedics at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco. Based on his research in biomechanics, Dr. Pashman was then invited to complete his spine fellowship in the prestigious Moe Fellowship program at University of Minnesota.
