WellPoint, the nation's largest health insurer, has aggressively targeted women with breast cancer for canceling their health insurance policies, Reuters news service is reporting. WellPoint has used a computer program. Reuters reporter Murray Waas writes, "Once the women were singled out, they say, the insurer then canceled their policies." Citing privacy laws, WellPoint said it would not comment. In another investigation, Reuters and Murray Waas showed how Assurant Health targeted HIV patients for cancealation.
