Dr. Queenie Ong is an award-winning specialist orthodontist at Scope Orthodontics in Perth, bringing a wealth of international experience and a compassionate, personalised approach to patient care. Born and raised in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, she pursued her dental degree with honours at the University of Sheffield in the UK and gained early clinical experience in general practice, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and paediatric dentistry. Driven by a passion for improving dental health, Dr. Ong completed an academic fellowship in Public Dental Health before focusing her career on orthodontics. She earned her Master’s degree in Orthodontics from the University of Manchester and achieved Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, receiving the prestigious J K Williams Medal for the highest examination score. Further specialist training with the UK’s National Health Service deepened her expertise in complex multidisciplinary cases, including orthognathic surgery, hypodontia, and cleft care, culminating in completion of the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Orthodontics in 2024. Since relocating to Australia in 2025, Dr. Ong has been dedicated to helping patients of all ages achieve their best smiles through holistic, tailored treatment, while balancing her professional life with interests in fitness, dining, and the outdoors alongside her husband and two ragdoll cats, Tofu and Mochi.
