Howdy! I’m Scott DuBar. I’m an illustrator and graphic designer living in Charlottesville, Virginia. As an illustrator, I specialize in editorial and children's illustration. My illustration work tends to be light-hearted, humorous, and sometimes playfully subversive. As a graphic designer, I have handled a wide variety of work for print, packaging, and web.

In 2015, my illustration, Underwater Tiger, was featured on the can of a limited-edition drink from Mike's HARDER called Tiger's Blood. My first children's book, Short Pump Bump, came out in December 2017 from Belle Isle Books. My second children's book, Chicken Feathers, will be published Fall 2020 by Clear Fork Publishing. I am currently illustrating my third children's book, called Zippy the Busy Bee, for Spark Publications.

I am a huge fan of comic books, cats, and yoga. My favorite travel destination is Bali, Indonesia. In 2018, my wife and I bought a Total Gym and I have been diligently working out and getting into the best shape of my life ever since. In my spare time I like to work on a variety of personal projects, including my epic superhero graphic novel, “Kid Hercules and the Ominous Orbs From Outer Space.”
