Scott Harris is a musician and private teacher currently living in Mattoon, Illinois. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Indiana State University and studied trumpet under Thaddeus Archer of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, Dr. Daniel Kelly of the Dallas Wind Symphony, and Robert Waugh.
Scott has performed as a part of the Indiana State University Wind Ensemble, ISU Conductor's Symposium Wind Ensemble, ISU Symphony, and Crossroads Brass. He also performed for masterclasses hosted by the Boston Brass and is a former member of the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps.
Scott is a current member of the funk band Superbad, and plays trumpet regularly at weddings, church services, and special events. He specializes in brass instruction, as well as jazz, concert, and marching band techniques.
