Scott Koehler

My name is Scott Koehler and I am currently a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. During my time at Umass I am perusing a degree in Resource Economics with my concentration on consumer and family finance. I am on track to graduate in May 2015 and look forward to what lies ahead afterwards.

My goal for when I graduate is to enter the finance and work on becoming a financial advisory. I have already gained experience in this field of business by accepting an internship at Morgan Stanley. While I worked at this internship, I gained knowledge and experience in different areas of the finance sector that I believe is my greatest asset. I believe with my hardworking attitude that no matter what I end up doing after college I will be a great asset to that company.

Currently I am very passionate about Rugby. I have joined the University of Massachusetts Men’s rugby team and in my eyes was one of the best choices I have made. My reasoning for this is throughout my years of playing I have met many different people and made friendships that will last a lifetime. In addition the student-athlete nature is one that I believe shows a great work ethic and proves that an individual can be committed to a team and their studies.

With these various life experiences I believe that I am ready to enter the world after college and hit the ground running. In addition to Morgan Stanley I am in the process of receiving an internship overseas, which will provide me with experience that not everyone can receive. Along with this I am continuing to make a new friends and connections everyday that will be a great asset that I can use after college.
