Scott Manning

Scott Manning is the proud father of two beautiful girls, technology enthusiast since 1981 and low voltage systsems designer since 1999.

Having touched his first computer at the age of 8 and then owning one at age 10, Scott has had the privilidge of growing with the industry. Programming in BASIC on an Atari 600xl, running at BBS at 300bps and playing every game he could get his hands on. Moving from the Atari 600xl to 800xl(with 64K of RAM!) to the Northgate 12MHz turbo with a monochrome monitor with EGA graphics card, then onto a Compaq 66MHz machine.

Scott worked for EDS for Colonial American Bank in Roanoke, VA while still attending Patrick Henry High School and had access to a System 36, System 38 and IBM AS/400.

From there, he worked at Fink's Jewelers at Tower Mall in Roanoke, VA. There he engraved, did simple maintence, cleaned and changed the occasional watch battery. Moving into the electrical trade from there with Engleby Electric in 1989. At Engleby he worked as an electrician's apprentice and attended Gibboney Technical Center as a part of the electrical apprenticeship program. In 1992 he started with Newcomb Electric Inc. Within Newcomb Electric, Scott continued in the apprenticeship program and recieved his journeymen's license. In 1999 Newcomb was bought out by Integrated Electrical Services. While under IES, Scott started in the communications division and helped to grow it to be the valley's largest low voltage company. In 2007 he became a Bicsi RCDD.

Since then Scott has moved on to a new low voltage startup, Triple S Integration.

He enjoys spending time with his family and close friends. Hiking, biking, walking and running top activities for Scott these days. Movies and technology take up his downtime.
