Hello, I’m Scott McDonald, a Professional Technologist and Senior Project Delivery Manager with Wood Group (a Sidara company) based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, supporting Wood’s business lines across the Americas.

I play a key role in enabling effective project delivery through information management, collaboration, and systems integration across multi-disciplinary teams.

With over 30 years of experience in mining and engineering consulting environments, I bring deep expertise spanning project delivery systems, information management, IT management, and engineering systems.

Throughout my career, I have held a variety of roles supporting project execution, including:

• Project Delivery Manager
• Change Manager and Business Engagement Manager within Wood’s global organization
• Project Delivery Systems Manager with Amec Foster Wheeler, supporting mining operations across the Americas

My professional background also includes experience in electrical design, IT project management and systems deployment, construction planning, scheduling, estimating, change management, and implementation.

I have spent a significant portion of my career working on project and construction sites across Western Canada, giving me a practical, execution-focused perspective and a strong reputation for problem solving and delivering reliable outcomes.

In addition to my industry work, I am actively involved in the applied science and technology community. I serve on the Executive Board of Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) and contribute as a technical accreditation auditor, helping ensure that technical training programs meet national standards and support workforce mobility and quality education.

I am a Professional Technologist (PTech) and continue to support initiatives that strengthen professional practice, collaboration, and the effective use of technology in project delivery environments.
