Scott Nicol

Former Superintendent, Leading a public school district, and Managing multimillion-dollar education budgets in Ellington, Connecticut

I am an education leader focused on building strong, connected school communities and improving outcomes for students.

My work has centered on leading public school systems, shaping policy, and creating environments where students can learn, grow, and engage with others respectfully. I believe schools play a critical role not only in academic development, but also in preparing students to think critically, communicate clearly, and participate in their communities.

I’ve led initiatives that promote open dialogue, strengthen partnerships between schools and families, and support student well-being. My approach to leadership is grounded in transparency, collaboration, and practical problem-solving.

I am especially interested in how leadership, culture, and communication drive performance in education. I continue to explore how systems can evolve to better serve students, educators, and communities.
