Read The Countermarch

I'm a writer and advisory consultant with thirty years of experience in publishing and nonprofit leadership. I write The Countermarch, a website and newsletter about recovering the fullness of life beyond politics, and advise Christian publishers, apostolates, and Church leaders on editorial strategy, operations, licensing, and humane uses of AI.

I previously served as publisher at Our Sunday Visitor, executive editor of Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture, and About.com's Catholicism Expert. I represent the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Estate for English-language publishing rights. I live in Huntington, Indiana, with my wife, Amy; we have eight children and one grandchild.
