Scott Sutherland
Science Writer, Meteorologist, and LEGO in Ontario, Canada
After decades of proud science geekdom and 10 years working as a professional meteorologist, I turned my passion for science and storytelling into a new career as a science writer.
Launching Yahoo Canada's 'Geekquinox' news blog in September 2012, I wrote about everything from molecules to the multiverse, and then returned home to The Weather Network in April of 2014.
Bringing my love of science, space and weather along with me, I lend a hand in presenting the science of weather on The Weather Network's digital news site, while adding content about climate change, astronomy and space exploration, and playing host to two video series - 'For Science!' and 'Weather Wise'.
In my spare time, I play computer games and roleplaying games, I'm an adult LEGO builder (I particularly enjoy making custom NASA lego models), and I'm an avid reader.
