I was born in Kansas City, Mo. and raised in the Ozarks -- though, the image you have in your head is probably not correct. I also lived a bit in south Florida before earning my journalism degree at Mizzou.

I now live in Colorado, but I'm terrified of skiing.

I'm nearing 10 years in the communications industry, and I'm always looking for better ways to get my point across, through text, graphics or video ... or old-fashioned yelling at the top of my lungs.

I've been married since 2005. I've been a dad since 2011. I've been interested in sports since birth.
