I've lived in Cambridge, MA, Santa Cruz, CA, Davis, CA and currently make my home in Sacramento, CA.

I am passionate about education, and have extensive experience in that enterprise, having had stints as an educator in the public schools in CA, at WBGH as a part of the NOVA Education team, and in higher education as the Assistant Director of the Doctor of Education Leadership (Ed.L.D.) Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and as an Institutional Research Analyst at UC Davis.

I earned my B.A. at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and my Ed.M. at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

In my spare time, I make music, play poker, enthusiastically fling disc golf discs at trees, and putter around the kitchen with my wife Jaimie. Some days I'm afraid I'll never love anything as much as I love the San Francisco Giants.
